This one's not about the game (Zzzzzz), it's about U2

(CourierPost Online) -- Can't promise the best Super Bowl ever since the Rams are two touchdown favorites over the Patriots.
Can promise, however, the best halftime show ever at the Super Bowl.
Not that the other halftime shows at the Super Bowl are hard to top, but now there's a reason to watch the first half: You don't want to miss the opening notes of U2 at the break.
If only the Irish band could play the entire game. Or instead of the game.
If a brief halftime appearance by U2 isn't enough, then the band's Live From Boston is available on DVD.
It's No.1 in the latest Billboard video chart. That way, you can watch U2 almost live, which is better than any Super Bowl anyway and unimaginably better than watching the Patriots down by 21 points in the third quarter.
Don't believe the Rams are going to smash the Patriots like Keith Moon's drum set? Well, then, you need to look at some of U2's songs. Besides working to free the Third World of its unfair debt, Bono has also been predicting this day for years. Listen:
"Sunday Bloody Sunday:" The Rams already beat the Patriots in New England on Nov.18 as Warner threw for a season high 401 yards in a 24-17 win.
"Two Hearts Beat as One:" Can't be done between NFL quarterbacks. Tom Brady and Drew Bledsoe can't co-exist. Both want to play in the big game, but there is just one ball and neither are good at lead blocking.
"Eleven O'clock Tick Tock:" That's exactly what time Sunday Warner and Co. will be hoisting their second Vince Lombardi trophy in three years over their heads. Yeah, the game will be four hours long because of all the scoring the Rams will be doing. And, there will probably be a few commercials mixed in there.
"Where the Streets Have No Name:" The Rams are 8-0 on the road this year. They don't care where they play. All they want to know is if the ball has air in it and they'll show up.
"I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For:" Warner said it is his goal to win five Super Bowls, one more than Joe Montana and Terry Bradshaw, which means he needs four more.
"Bullet in the Blue Sky:" Both teams wear blue, but the Rams' Warner throws the tracer passes that went for 4,830 yards this season - the second most in NFL history.
"The Unforgettable Fire:" When the smoke clears, that is what the Patriots defense will remember about the Rams offense that has generated a league record with three straight seasons scoring more than 500 points.
"In God's Country:" Hey, Warner said after beating the Eagles last week: ``We felt from day one that the Lord placed us in this position at this place and this time for a special reason'' and who will argue with that?
"Sweetest Thing:" Bono wrote this song to make up to his wife Ali for having to be in the recording studio on her birthday, but he could have been singing about Marshall Faulk, arguably the greatest running back in the history of the game.
"Running to Stand Still:" New England's rushing attack finished just 13th in the league.
"Wake Up Dead Man:" The Patriots already woke up from their five-win season last year by winning the AFC Championship. They will only play dead against the Rams.
"Mysterious Ways:" The Patriots already had supernatural help to win the divisional playoff game against the Raiders with a blizzard and a controversial instant replay reversal.
"Bad:" The Patriots are getting 14 points - the third largest Super Bowl spread ever - for a well-deserved reason.
"Lemon:" Patriots coach Bill Belichick used a seven-man coverage scheme in the first meeting in Week 10 and it obviously proved to be a lemon as the Rams went airborne for 400 yards.
"Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me:" The Patriots were heard singing this song written for the Batman Forever movie when watching the offensive tapes of the Rams.
"Staring at the Sun:" That's what the Patriots are doing this week. They are glad to just be in sunny New Orleans and out of snowy New England. Next week, they hope to be on a sun splashed golf course.
"When Love Comes To Town:" The Rams' Faulk and Aeneas Williams are going home. They both grew up in Louisiana and both worked at the Superdome selling food.
"Stuck in a Moment You Can't Get Out of:" The Patriots have been to two Super Bowls already and they were big losers in both - a 46-10 bashing by the Bears in Super Bowl XX and a 35-21 backhanding by the Packers in Super Bowl XXXI. And, both games were in New Orleans. Deja vu III.
"I Will Follow:" That's what the Rams receivers Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce, Az-Zahir Hahim and Ricky Proehl will say to the first one of them who scores.
"With or Without You:" This is about how the Rams will win the Super Bowl with Dick Vermeil in 1999 or without him this year.
"Last Night on Earth:" It is the last game for John Madden and Pat Summerall in the booth together after 21 years. Why spoil fans who now watch the Super Bowl for commercials with a good game?
"Until the End of the World:" That is when Bono said the Patriots would finally win the Super Bowl.
Finally, here is a humble suggestion for U2's three-song halftime set: Open with "Elevation," go into "Beautiful Day," and end with "One." But in the middle of "One," the band should drift into "40," slide into "Pride In the Name of Love" before going into "My Sweet Lord" to honor the late George Harrison and then back into "One".
No encore needed.
Or second half.
